Welcome to Day 5 of the 2013 Artisan Entry Blog Hop. I hope you've been enjoying the blog hop and if you've just discovered us don't forget to view the previous days posts featuring the first 4 of our Artisan Design Team contest submissions as we have now hit the half way mark of our 10 day blog hop. Each blog hop participant is sharing the projects submitted and entered into the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team contest. Although we were not selected as one of the Top 20 Finalists, we are all winners in that we took the time and effort to send in our projects knowing that it is some of our best work!
As a reminder, each blog hop participant created 10 projects which were submitted to Stampin' Up! as our entries for the Artisan Design Team contest and consists of the following:
- 5 – Handmade Cards
- 3 – Scrapbook Pages
- 2 – 3D Projects
2013 Artisan Entry Blog Hop – Day 5
Today I'm featuring the third card of the five cards I created for the 2013 Artisan Design Team contest. This card is a fun, cheerful card utilizing bright colors.
The card base is Whisper White cardstock with a layer of Midnight Muse and another layer of Whisper White cardstock. On the top layer of Whisper White, I stamped the chevron image using Midnight Muse and the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to line the images up then I used the Occasions Paper-Piercing pack with the oval shape to create a paper-pierced oval on the top layer of Whisper White.
The Oval Shapes were stamped using the Chevron oval design from the Oh, Hello Stamp Set. I stamped the image twice and cut each oval out using the Oval Framelits then carefully lined up the chevron stamped image to create a layered effect. On the top oval, I also stamped the Oh, Hello sentiment using Midnight Muse classic ink then lined 6 brads under the stamped image. Next, I made the banner using the Itty Bitty Banners stamp along with the "Happy Father's Day" stamp from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. The final touch was the "cloud" shaped clip from the Hung Up Cute Clips tied with a piece of Linen Thread.
Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out my project for Day 5 and don't forget to come back for the next 5 days to see each project entry created for the Stampin' Up! 2013 Artisan Design Team contest. Great design Pam! I've always thought of this set as kind of feminine, but you did a great job of showing how versatlie it is-fun!
Another favorite! Great use of this set and I can't wait to pull it out and use it for the first time (very inspired here)!
