Paper Craft Crew
Card Sketch #141 – Painted Petals
I love this weeks sketch from the Paper Craft Crew featuring a small twist on a traditional style sketch. You have the three squares which I consider a classic style but the added element at the bottom with the 3 small elements puts a nice little spin on the classic sketch finished off with the Sentiment located just above and on the left-hand side of the squares.
When I was planning my card, I immediately thought the Painted Petals Stamp Set would be perfect especially with the coordinating Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper. The Painted Petals Stamp Set really is an awesome stamp set. I also can't say enough about the GORGEOUS Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper. You'll see that at the base of the card, I used a strip of the Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper then added three So Saffron Candy Dots placed just below the third square. The squares feature a tulip motif using one of the stamps from teh Painted Petals Stamp Set. I actually used the Strawberry Slush and I'm surprised at how nicely it coordinates with the Rose Red found in the Designer Series Paper.

- Don't be afraid to experiment with your colors.
- Simple, clean designs are all you need – Less can actually be "MORE."
- Square Framelits make it easy to cut out the squares or you can use a paper cutter.
