It's Wednesday and you know what that means… I'm over at the Paper Craft Crew for the Weekly Card Sketch Challenge! Come on over and check out this weeks sketch as well as the Desig Team submissions. The challenge starts today and ends on Monday, January 19, 2015 at 8:00 PM ET.
Paper Craft Crew
Card Sketch #126
I'm really looking forward to seeing what the New Year brings to the Paper Craft Crew as far as growth goes. I've got some things in mind for the Challenge Blog including bringing back the Monthly Scrapbook Sketches. But, in the meantime, I'm getting bac
k into the groove after having enjoyed a wonderful Christmas Holiday visiting family in South Bend, IN. Everybody had a great time even if myself and my niece were sick. After returning home, my parents arrived a day later and just left for Arizona yesterday – WE LOVE having them visit and I already miss them but at the same time it is nice to start getting back to "normal."
As for my 5 year old son, Caleb, I'm calling this the year of the Remote Control! He received FOUR different Remote Control devices as well as a Plane's Wii Game that he thinks has a "Remote Control" for flying Dusty. It was lots of fun watching Caleb open gifts but it took FOREVER because he had to stop and play with EACH gift IMMEDIATELY – unless it was clothing. Here is our family "PJ Photo" that I insisted we take this year.
My wish and prayer for you is that you have an awesome New Year filled with love, peace and joy!
So, here is my handmade Crazy About You Birthday Card for this weeks Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch #126. I'm SO excited about the NEW 2015 Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration. Yesterday was the FIRST DAY you could order from the Occasions Catalog AND also receive a FREE item from the Sale-A-Bration brochure with a $50.00 product purchase. Let me just say that I want EVERYTHING in this 2015 Occasions Catalg.
You'll want to stop in on Friday to checkout my TOP 10 products from the 2015 Occasions Catalog (that is, if I can narrow it down to 10 products!!!).
Oh, yes, you probably want the details on this weeks Paper Craft Crew card – the card base is Whisper White which is pretty much my "go to" choice for a card base or at least the top layer. Next, using the Best Year Ever Desiger Series Paper from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure, I attached a piece of the DSP to the top layer of Whisper White then attached the Smoky Slate Chevron Ribbon to the layer and attached it to the card base with Stampin' Dimenstionals. On the stamped layer, I stamped the leaf from the Crazy About You stamp set using Pistachio Pudding Classic Ink. The Scallop Circle Flowers are also from the Crazy About You Stamp Set and stamped using both the Coastal Cabana Classic Ink and Crisp Cantaloupe Classic ink then punched out with the 1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch. The Scallop Circle Flowers are attached with Dimensionals. Following along with the Sketch, I added another piece of the Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper as a "tag" with a button accent. The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set. Honestly, the card is a nice change from creating Christmas Cards.
