Love Is In The Air

I'm so excited to be sharing some fun projects featuring NEW products from the 2015 Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog.  I just love EVERYTHING in this Occasions Catalog.  Both of the cards that I'm sharing feature the You Plus Me Stamp Set!  This first card is much more feminine featuring a Calypso Coral and Smoky Slate color scheme and the second card features a traditional scheme of Real Red, Basic Black with Smoky Slate.  The third project is a cute little treat bag created using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies with teh Hey, Valentine Stamp Set.

Project #1 – Twitterpated Valentine

SUOC112-Pam001

The card base is Whisper White cardstock.  I then stamped on a sheet of Whisper White cardstock using Smoky Slate Classic Ink and the little mini hearts from the You Plus Me Stamp Set to create a sweet background and attached it to a layer of Calypso Coral card stock which in turn was attached to the card base.  Using the Banners Framelits, I cut a banner from the Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper which is a FREE item you can select from the Sale-A-Bration brochure when you purchase $50.00 in product.

On the banner, I also added a Calypso Coral scallop accent using the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch.  The Ampersand is stamped using Smoky Slate then I stamped the Twitterpated over that using Calypso Coral Classic Ink and cut the image out with the Chalk Talk Framelits.  The Twitterpated image was attached to the banner then I also added a hexagon stamped using the Smoky Slate from the Six-Sided Sampler Stamp Set.  For the finishing touch I added the flower with a Rhinestone in the center.  The flower was created using the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack with 2 flower punches layered.

I really love this card!  It is a fun card for Valentines Day and sending some love to a special person in your life!

Project #2 – You + Me

SUOC112-Pam006The second card, again, uses the You Plus Me Stamp Set.  I've focused on using traditional Valentine colors for this card.  Red and Black really are two traditional Valentine colors that I love.  This card really is all about telling someone that you love them with a simple yet fun sentiment.

I used my old standby of Whisper White Cardstock for the card base.  Then, on the top layer, I used the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set to stamp a smoky slate background.  Next, I added the Stacked with Love Designer Washi Tape.  The image is stamped using Smoky Slate then punched out with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch and attached to a Real Red circle punched out using the 2" Circle Punch which is then attached to the front layer with dimensionals.  The finishing touches included adding a punched heart in Real Red to the You + Me equation and Real Red Candy Dots to the card front.

Project #3 – A Sweet Tweet Mini Treat Bag

SUOC112-Pam003

This little bag is so darn cute!  So, tomorrow, I'll be posting my TOP 10 FAVORITE Products from the Occasions Catalog and let me just say that this item is DEFINITELY on that list!  The best part is YOU can also make these bags using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies…  Yep, I made this bag using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies and the Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper.

For the accents, I started by folding over the top of the bag then attached a Tea Lace Paper Doily then wrapped the Basic Gray Baker's Twine around the top to hold down the Tea Lace Paper Doily.  I then added the banner which also uses the Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper and topped that off with the stamped birdy.  The bird image is stamped using Strawberry Slush and is a stamp from the Hey, Valentine Stamp Set.  The final touch is the Clothespin that holds everything closed and just a little bit of bling with the Rhinestones on the righthand corner of the bag.

I just love this little birdy tweeting…  "A Sweet Tweet for YOU!"  How cute is the sentiment?  I definitely see myself using this bag and the Hey, Valentine Stamp Set for my son's classmates.   This little treat bag just screams "Love is in the Air."
