I absolutely love these Fabric Flowers! They are so easy and fun to make. In fact, I only just learned how to make them myself while attending the Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference in Nashville, TN this past January. We made a similar Fabric Flowers into a a brooch. I've been wearing my Fabric Flower Brooch EVERYWHERE and I've had so many compliments on it that I've decided to make more that I plan to sell on Etsy!
To create the Fun Flowers Fabric Barrette, I started with the Springtime Vintage Designer Fabric found in the 2011 Occasions Mini Catalog from Stampin' Up! The first step was to run a stack (up to 6 layers) of the fabric through the Big Shot using the Fun Flowers Bigz L Die. Then I sprayed the flowers with starch, let them dry and assembled them using hot glue for each layer along with adding some Crochet Trim around the 3rd layer of the flower and then the 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon on another layer. The final touch was to add a Fabric Designer Brad. To add the brad, I cut off the metal prongs then hot glued the brad in the center of the flower.
