Any Holiday Bundle
Fall has arrived in North Carolina… FINALLY! My favorite thing about Fall is the cooler weather, leaves falling and Thanksgiving. Since I live in the Raleigh, NC area which is called the “City of Oaks” we have a lot of Oak Trees around with Acorns. Although, I confess that we don’t have ANY TREES on our property since we’ve never gotten around to planting trees yet at least. Honestly, I don’t mind not having any trees in our yard although I wouldn’t mind one or two trees. I just wish I could get my Peony plants and Hydrangea to grow. I’ve now killed 4 Peony Plants ($50 bucks down the drain!) but I’m NOT ready to give up. And, on that note…
I’m so excited to share some fun projects featuring the Acorny Thank You Stamp Set. The first project is a cute, simple card that was so fun to make. The second project is also fun to make as well as clean and simple.
Project #1 – Acorny… Grateful for YOU!
The Acorns from the Acorny Thank You Stamp Set are so adorable! Who wouldn’t love this fun, fall Acorn card! I started with Soft Suede and layered it with Into the Woods Designer Series Paper for a super simple card front!
I stamped the base of the acorns with Early Espresso Classic Ink and the acorn top is stamped with Soft Suede Classic Ink. The cool part about the Acorny Thank You Stamp Set is that there is the coordinating Acorn Builder Punch. I was able to punch each part of the acorn out, assembled the acorn and attached them to the card front.
While creating the concept for my card, I knew I wanted a little bit of gold. The gold thread is the perfect accent tucked behind the banner. I stamped the “Grateful For You” using the Soft Suede Classic Ink. To attach the gold thread all I did was place some glue dots along the back, wrapped the gold thread around 3 fingers then took the loops and placed them along the glue dots. The banner with the gold thread was then attached to the acorns using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The finishing touch with a pop of color was the addition of Night of Navy Candy Dots!

Project #2 – Acorny… Hi!
I love to visit! But sometimes people live to far away or life gets busy so you just can’t visit in person. I love the “Dropping In to Say Hi” sentiment in the Acorny Thank You Stamp Set. Can you think of a better way to just say “Hi” than to send a card to let a friend know you are thinking of them. This would also be a great card for Thanksgiving to share with friends when you want to say “Hi” and wish them a Happy Thanksgiving.
I used the Thick Whisper White for the base of the card and “tapped” Sahara Sand Classic Ink droplets on the card front using my Stampin’ Spritzer. The banner created using the Banner Triple Punch is 1 1/2″ wide using the Into the Woods Designer Series Paper. I then stamped the “Dropping in to Say Hi” sentiment with Soft Suede Classic Ink on Whisper White and cut it out using the Deco Label’s Collection Framelits. If you look closely, you’ll see a partial border around the Deco Label’s. I created the border using the 2 1/2″ circle punch, cut the circle in half and attached behind the Deco Label. My purpose for the border was to help it “pop” off the card and create definition against the background. The base of the acorns are stamped with Hello Honey Classic Ink and the top of the nut is Soft Suede which is attached with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
