Clean and Simple with some Ruching!

So, yesterday, I introduced you to the technique of adding Ruching to a handmade card with my video tutorial! I hope you've enjoyed the video and that it has helped you understand the concept of Ruching on a card.

To help you fully visualize what Ruching looks like on a completed card, I'm sharing with you a clean and simple handmade card I created using the Ruching technique. This card has a vintage feel while maintaining a simple and sweet appearance. The base of this card is Very Vanilla with a Daffodil Delight layer which I ran through the Big Shot using the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder. On the bottom section of the card, I used the Crochet Trim in the Victoria 5/8" for the basis of the Ruching on this card. Next, I stamped on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock with the background stamp in the Charming Stamp Set then the leaf design from the Just Believe Stamp Set. The finishing touch was to add two butterflies created on the Big Shot using the Beautiful Wings Embosslits which I then dabbed a little of Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint on the embossed portions of the butterfly.
