Stampin’ Up! Retired Products Spotlight

I love springtime, the warmer weather of April and spring showers… but this time of year also brings the announcement of the Stampin’ Up! Retiring Product List! Each year there leading up to April there is always some speculation as to what will retire then the Retired Product List is released (sad face!). While I’m sad to see so many wonderful products retire I’m also anxiously awaiting the pre-order that starts in May! For Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators, May is like Christmas for a child!!!! The ANTICIPATION… I want to order NOW but I know I must wait. It is SO hard having to wait. In the meantime, I will be focusing on featuring various retiring products as part of a Retiring Product Spotlight.

Words of Truth Retiring Product Spotlight

The Words of Truth Stamp Set is a retiring stamp set and the focus of this Retiring Product Spotlight! I’m actually sad to see this one go because if was only available for one year… I love the phrases and feel this set is so versatile. It can be used on cards, scrapbook pages, Project Life and Home Decor! Here is a card I created using the stamp set. The Can You Case It? team has a color challenge and I’ll confess that I also pulled out a retired Stampin’ Up! In Color from last year called Crisp Cantaloupe. The color challenge features a Peach, Black and Cream color.

For the card, I started with a Basic Black card base layered with Very Vanilla on the inside then Crisp Cantaloupe on the outside along with another Basic Black and Very Vanilla Layer. On the top layer, I stamped a background using the Timeless Textures Stamp Set with the Crisp Cantaloupe. Using the Words of Truth, I stamped the Remember with Basic Black along with the phrase “you’re all kinds of awesome!” I cut the phrase into individual words and attached them to the bottom right corner of the card front. The “remember” is front and center as the focal point of the card. The final touch was to add Basic Black Candy Dots – another Retiring Product.
