Stamp of the Month Blog Tour!
(Item #w:130300; c:130303)
I’m excited and proud to be showcasing the Tag It stamp set which is also the Ronald McDonald stamp set. This stamp set is so cute and also coordinates with the Chalk Talk Framelits. I hope you’ve enjoyed the projects up to this point and enjoy my projects as well.
For this project, I’m featuring the cute little Santa Claus from the Tag It Stamp set cut out using the coordinating Chalk Talk Framelit (129983) . The base is Very Vanilla card stock layered with Cherry Cobbler then the top layer of Very Vanilla which I embossed using the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder (132174) then splattered with ink using the Aqua Painters (103954). The ribbon is the Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon (122332) accented with the Frosted Finishes Embellishments (132150). There is also a small Old Olive stamped image from the Ornament Keepsakes Stamp Set (c: 128051) punched out with the 1″ Circle Punch (119868) bordered with Old Olive Scallop 1 1/4 Scallop Circle Punch (127811). You will also note that there is a border surrounding teh stamped Santa using the Cherry Cobbler Card Stock. To make the border, I used to cut outs of the matching Chalk Talk Framelit cut them then pieced them back together to create the border.
This project is a fun Birthday Card. I’m not a big fan or lizards and such but this little guy is just too cute and I love the little balloons tied to his tale. I wanted to keep this Clean and Simple focused on being a fun Kid’s card. The base is Whisper White then a layer of Tempting Turquoise. The top layer of Whisper White is stamped using the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set (w: 130514; c:130517) with the same image stamped with Daffodil Delight and Real Red classic ink. Next, I used the Tag It stamp featuring the little lizard to help celebrate (anything really) a birthday… Technically, this card could be any type of “Celebrate” card but it just screams Birthday to me!
The stamped image of the lizard was colored using the Huffing Technique. I colored the image using my Stampin’ Write Markers (131264) then “huffed” on it giving it the kiss of life so the image would show up when I stamped it on the Whisper White. This is a great technique for adding multiple colors to your stamped images. Finally, I added some CANDY… Well, Bright Candy Dots (130134) to be more specific!
My final project was created to compliment the Birthday Card featuring the little Lizard. I used the Tag a Bag Gift Bags (131370) to create some cute packaging for candy or whatever else you might like to put in the bag. The Tag features Tempting Turquoise card stock as the base using the larger “tag” from the Chalk Talk Framelits (129983) set then I stamped the Lizard image which was cut out with a different framelit from the Chalk Talk Framelits set but I cut off the bottom edge then used the corner rounder punch to create the tag. Behind the tag with the stamped image, I created to banners using Real Red and Daffodil Delight Card Stock. To attach the tag to the Tag a Bag Gift Bags, I used the Hung Up Cute Clips (129389) with a bow tied onto the clip featuring the Pacific Point 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon (126878).
