Card Sketch #147 – Friendly Wishes
This week is a crazy week here… Today is Caleb's last "field day" for Preschool. I can't believe that my little man will be in Kindergarten already this fall. He is growing up so fast. We are excited that the school reassignment we requested was approved. The new school has flatter terrain and is better equipped to meet the physical needs as well as the developmental needs of our son… Oh, the joys of Hypotonia.
As for this weeks sketch, I love the simplicity of this sketch. It was easy to quickly create a card based off of this weeks sketch. Now that there is a new Catalog, I had to use some new products. I love the Friendly Wishes Stamp set which was perfect for this sketch along with the Neutrals Designer Series Paper Pack (which is currently unavailable due to manufacturing issue not meeting Stampin' Up! quality).
I love the color combination of a light gray with a bold yellow. For this card, I pulled out my Smoky Slate and the NEW Delightful Dijon. The background starts with the Smoky Slate layered with the Neutral Designer Series Paper then I created additional layers with the Whisper White and Delightful Dijon Cardstock. On the top layer, I stamped the Friendly Wishes sentiment with the Delightful Dijon. Following along with the sketch, I added three flowers with pearls in the upper right hand corner. The flowers were stamped using the Petite Petals stamp set with the Delightful Dijon Classic Ink.
This card came together so fast and yet has a simple elegance which would be perfect for a friend.
