Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch 114

Festival of Trees

This weeks sketch with the Paper Craft Crew is lots of fun featuring a "window" or polaroid type feature!  This weeks card features the Festival of Trees, Tree Punch and Star Framelits.  The card also uses the Work of Art stamp set to create a background.  With this card, I've created more of a traditional Christmas scene use traditional Christmas colors.

Sunny Girl Scraps Tips & Tricks:

  • To create the background, I used the Work of Art stamp set using Soft Sky Classic Ink then I used the Festival of Trees stamp set to stamp the "stars" using the Silver Encore Stamp Pad.  I love this look and how this sets the scene for an outdoorsy feel to the card.
  • The three larger stars were created using the Star Framelit.  To create the largest star with the center cut out, I just took the two star framelits that were closest in size and placed the smallest framelit on the inside to create the star outline.
  • For a little added interest, I used the Gold Foil paper for three of the stars then the Gold Glimmer cardstock for the star that anchors the Merry & Bright sentiment.  This sentiment comes from the Good Greetings Stamp Set which is currently FREE to hostesses that either purchase $300.00 or more in product or have a workshop that is over $300.  This special is available until October 28th – so, if you want the Good Greetings stamp set you need to order $300.00 in product yourself or get together with a few friends!
