The Paper Pumpkin Thing is going wild for February Paper Pumpkin Wildflower Wishes Kit! This kit is beautiful. It features a beautiful wildflower motif with die cut words. It’s such a beautiful kit that it was difficult at first to break it up for alternative projects. But, I do love the alternative projects that I’ve created and I hope you are inspired by them as well.
So, welcome to A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop. The hop is the last Thursday of the Month.
Oh… and Paper Pumpkin is celebrating it’s 5th Anniversary in March! I can’t believe it’s been 5 years already. If you are not a subscriber, you DEFINITELY want to subscribe before March 10th. The March Kit includes a FREE Gift and will be delivered in a special 5th Anniversary Box.
A Paper Pumpkin Thing Wildflower Wishes
Wildflower Wishes Remix
I’m excited about today’s projects. As I was creating, I immediately had an idea for the box so that is the first project I’m sharing today. The box then inspired my card. Finally, I was just looking at the kit and realized the long banner could be made into a really cute little treat holder! So, I quickly created a tag like treat holder out of the long banner from the Wildflower Wishes Kit.
Project #1 – Celebrate Your Awesomeness Wildflower Wishes Box
The box I made using Pacific Point Cardstock for the base. I used the Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate for the cover of the box. It’s so easy to make a quick box and then add some decorative elements. The Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate definitely adds elegance.
To create the box, I cut a piece of the Pacific Point Cardstock to 8 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ then scored 1″ along each edge. The acetate is tougher to score but it is possible. When I make my box tops, I do add 1/16″ inch the sheet so once the top is assembled it fits just a little better on the bottom box.
I created the banner on top of the box by flipping over one of the floral banners by using the white backside. I stamped the flowers using the Wildflower Wishes Stamp Set with Daffodil Delight. The sentiment is Melon Mambo with Basic Black. I added the floral elements from the sticker embellishments included in the kit. If you look closely, you’ll also notice that I added some Metallic Thread along with Silver Mini Sequins. Finally, I added the Whisper White Organza Ribbon then attached the banner to the top of the box.
Project #2 – Wildflower Wishes Thank You Card
I’m loving how this card turned out! I love the clean look with the Whisper White card base and layers along with the die cut Stitched Shape Square. On the first layer, I added some of the green fauna stickers from the kit.
The sentiment on the Stitched Shape Square is stamped with Pacific Point Classic Ink using the Wildflower Wishes Stamp Set. Then I started layering the flowers from the kit in the upper left corner of the square. On the backside of the square, I added the Silver Metallic Thread and Silver Mini Sequins. Once I was happy with how the flowers were layered on the square, I attached the square with dimensionals. I finished the card by adding pearls.
Project #3 – Hello Sweet Little Treat Tag
This cute little treat holder is SO quick to make! It literally took me only a couple of minutes to put it together. I used the long banner and scored in 2 1/2″ from each edge and folded the banner up. It’s the perfect size for a mini Ghirardelli Chocolate.
I punched a hole in the top and used the Organza Ribbon which is tied with the Linen Thread included in the kit. Mini Sequins add a little bling and I also added a Petal Passion Embellishment. Again, one of the flower embellishments from the kit is added to the front. I stamped on the little vellum banner which is also from the kit, attached it and there you have it! A very cute little treat holder! (Now, I just need a mini Ghirardelli Chocolate to slip inside).
