Leading. Teaching. Fun.
At the Stampin’ Up! Leadership convention we’ve been learning about being effective leaders and teachers but we’ve also been having fun. This is my first leadership event and I can’t say adequately all that I’ve been learning. I can say I’m excited about many of the changes that Stampin’ Up! will be implementing over the next 6 months!
As a leader, I’ve learned how important it is to invest and reinvest in our downline. To my downline that follow my blog, I love you guys and you know who you are. I’m really looking forward to implementing some changes myself to help encourage, build, teach and add +One in what I do to help my team add +One.
Now, you might be thinking what is this “+One” term you might ask? +One is the theme for Leadership but it is more than that. It is a commitment from Stampin’ Up! for the year and you’ll be seeing more of the +One logo but it will evolve over the year – I’m looking forward to how it will change. As I think about it, change can be so good and refreshing. So, how can you change and do ONE thing different or add ONE new idea this year?
+One is about committing to doing one new thing. I am committing to calling my downline once a month. BUT, I plan to do so much more.
Then there is the FUN! We’ve seen some wonderful demonstrations seeing some great ideas for all our different products from My Digital Studio to our beautiful fabrics. I’ve also had fun winning a stamp set and spinners during a prize patrol. We’ve also received free product and so much more. Tonight we have some great Make & Takes that I’m really looking forward to making. Cool projects.
