Favorite New Toys = Blendabilities

(and punch and striped scallop)

Ah, yes, I just love the Blendabilities along with a few other great new toys such as the Fun Flower Punch and the Striped Scallop Thinlit. One of my downline was hanging out and visiting me when I made this card. She wanted to "See How I Work" when I make a card. Admittedly, I felt the pressure. Often when I make a card I have a "vision" in my mind of what I want to create and how I want it to look. Now, the cards don't always turn out the way I originally visualized but that is just part of the creation process.

For this card, I started with a Whisper White Cardstock layered with Tempting Turquoise and another layer of Whisper White Cardstock. The Striped Scallop pattern is also Tempting Turquoise that I cut down to the size that I wanted for my card and it is layered behind a stamped image using the Hardwood Stamp then cut out with an "old favorite" called Apothecary Accents Framelits.

The finishing touches were to add the two flowers which were stamped using the Beautiful Bunch Stamp Set punched out with another favorite new tool called the Fun Flower Punch. And… Of course, the flowers were colored with my #1 FAVORITE NEW TOY – Blendabiities – For this card, I used the Melon Mambo Blendabilities and the Calypso Coral Blendabilities both of which will be available on August 1st!
