Oh, yes, it is time for another Color Challenge with Create with Connie & Mary. This week they have a beautiful, springy color combination that definitely challenged me as they are not colors I use often and rarely would I use all three of them together even though the combination is actually very beautiful (and girly!)… Weird as it may seem but when I saw the color combination for the challenge, I was inspired to use my Hello You Thinlits. Here is my submission for this weeks Color Challenge CCMC344!
Hello You Thinlits
CCMC #344
I love the Hello You Thinlits along with the coordinating Crazy About You stamp set. There are so many options and combinations for creating customized cards when you use both the Hello You Thinlits and Crazy About You stamp set together. While creating this card, I think I played with almost all the various combinations before I finally settled on making this a "hello" from all of us card! Of course, you are probably wondering what the color combination is so let me share that with you first… The Create with Connie & Mary Color Challenge is:
With the color scheme set for my card, I started with the border color for my card front using the Blackberry Bliss… Let me just say that I LOVE Blackberry Bliss – it is such a RICH, deep and gorgeous color. Then I layered on some Whisper White.
The Whisper White card front layer features a Blushing Bride Chevron background stamped using the Work of Art Stamp Set. Next, I pulled out my absolute ALL TIME FAVORITE stamp set – Gorgeous Grunge – and stamped the background with both the Blackberry Bliss and Rose Red Classic Inks.
From the Hello You Thinlits, I grabbed the "Hello" which is cut out of the Blackberry Bliss Card Stock and attached over the stamped background. Next, I added the "From All Of Us" banner just below the Hello cutout.
Now that I had the sentiments attached to the card it was time to add the accents. I love the Petite Petals stamp set and the small flowers were perfect for this card. The cluster of three flowers came first then I added two more flowers just because (and I like the placement of them). Inside each small flower, I added even smaller flowers which are stamped using the Pictogram Punches Stamp Set and punched out using the smallest flower punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punches – these flowers with the pearl finishes each flower.
So, there you have it. A beautiful, feminine card featuring the Hello You Thinlits featuring Blackberry Bliss, Rose Red and Blushing Bride as part of the Create with Connie & Mary Color Challenge 344 and don't forget to visit their blog for more inspiration!
I invite you to pin any of my creations to Pinterest and to share your thoughts or questions by leaving me a comment. I love hearing from all my readers – word of mouth is one of the greatest forms of flattery.
