One of my absolute favorite flowers is the Peony.  I've always loved them because of their size and delicate appearance as well as the multitude of colors.  When I was planning my wedding, I insisted on having a bouquet filled with Peonies and Calla Lilies.  It was gorgeous and I really wish I had a photo handy at the moment to share with you.

I didn't originally set out to create a peony exactly but as I was playing with the Bouquet Bigz L Die that is the flower that popped out as being another option when using the die.  The process for creating a tutorial on how to use the Bouquet Bigz L Die started when my Upline, Janet Wakeland, put out a call looking for a few people in her downline to create a tutorial on how to create paper flowers.  Since I was already playing with the Bouquet Bigz L Die creating flowers and working on plans for a 3D Thursday Video, it just made sense to volunteer!  So, I hope you enjoy my 3D Video sharing with you how to create a paper crafted Peony.

Paper Crafted Peony

The peony turned out gorgeous!  I love the "ruffled" feel of the petals.  The cardstock that I used for the petals is Blushing Bride, Hello Honey and Wild Wasabi.  To create the flower and if you want it to be on a stem, you'll also need Florist Wire and Floral Tape which you can find at any craft store and even some big box stores.  The Hot Glue gun will be your best friend when creating any paper crafted flowers.  When creating paper crafted flowers, you can also use Designer Series Paper… there are just so many options!

Paper Crafted DaisyAs I mentioned, there are so many options available for creating paper crafted flowers.  In this next sample, I created a Daisy using Whisper White cardstock and Daffodil Delight cardstock.   The "petals" of the flower use another cut from the Bouquet Bigz L Die.  The center actually has a button that is wrapped with cardstock.

These are just two examples of what you can create and accomplish when using the Bouquet Bigz L Die. I encourage you to experiment, look at real flowers and try your hand at creating some paper crafted flowers.

I invite you to pin any of my creations to Pinterest and to share your thoughts or questions by leaving me a comment. I love hearing from all my readers – word of mouth is one of the greatest forms of flattery.
