NC Demo Blog Hop

Project #1 – Picture Perfect with BlackBerry Bliss In Color

NC Demos Blog Hop featuring Stampin' Up! In Colors and the Picture Perfect Stamp Set by Pam StaplesEach year, Stampin’ Up! introduces new In-Colors but with those colors we must say farewell to a different set of colors.  One of my absolute favorite In-Colors this past year has been Blackberry Bliss which will be retiring.  I love the RICHNESS of this color.  The first project I have for you features the Picture Perfect Stamp Set paired with Blackberry Bliss.

The Hummingbird features the Blackberry Bliss and to create the layers, I actually stamped off first before stamping the first layer then continued to use the two-step technique to finish the hummingbird.  On the edge, I added a floral strip of Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper with an Antique Brad.  The sentiment is stamped with Lost Lagoon which is another In Color that will be retiring.

Project #2 – Balloon Celebrations with Watermelon Wonder In Color

NC Demos Blog Hop featuring Stampin' Up! In Colors and Balloon Celebrations by Pam Staples

The second project I’m featuring uses the Balloon Celebrations Stamp Set paired with Watermelon Wonder along with Cucumber Crush which are current In Colors that will be around for one more year!  I love the Balloon Celebrations Stamp Set and Bundle from the 2016 Occasions Catalog.  It is a fun, easy stamp set to use and especially great for the #imbringingbirthdaysback campaign.

I stamped these dots in the background with Daffodil Delight thinking they look like sun spots – bright & cheerful.  Then I added a strip of Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper Stack.  The Balloon is stamped off first with the Watermelon Wonder then stamped again with the “dots” for the second layer of the balloon using full strength Watermelon Wonder.

The Happy Birthday was stamped with Watermelon Wonder on a banner which overlaps the Cherry On Top DSP Stack.  Now, I could have stopped there but I really felt that the card was missing a small bit of detail.  The flowers are the perfect finish.  I used the Petite Petals Stamp Set and coordinating punch stamping the flowers with the Watermelon Wonder then adding a the Cucumber Crush It’s My Party Enamel Dots to the center of the flowers.  This card is REALLY easy and fun.
