A Nice Cuppa
Color Challenge CYCI #109
Where has February flown off too in such a hurry! This month has gone by so fast. As I look at the week ahead, I’ll be celebrating my 47th birthday in exactly one week! I honestly don’t FEEL THAT OLD! I will say having a 6 year does help me feel 47 years young MOST of the time but on occasion I definitely feel the years.
Looking back at this past year, it has been a wonderful year with the main focus being my desire to improve my health so I can keep up with my son, Caleb. As of today, I’ve lost 90 lbs. and weigh under 180 lbs… It feels AWESOME! On Friday, March 4th I’m celebrating by hosting a Cabi Fashion Party… My friend, Traci Langley, has made me into a semi-FASHIONISTA (I can’t claim to be an all out Fashionista YET). I am having so much fun wearing SKINNY JEANS and clothes that make me feel amazingly skinny. I honestly don’t remember the last time I weighed what I now weigh and wore a Size 10 other than I’m pretty certain it was in my early High School years. OK… So, I don’t normally do this but if you want to check out Cabi Clothes, click HERE to view the catalog and if you would like to place an order to help me celebrate my birthday as I slowly rebuild a wardrobe with clothes that fit then you can email Susan Gowland to place an order. On the other hand (and an even better birthday gift), you can place a Stampin’ Up! order or even join Stampin’ Up! as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator on my Sunny Craftin’ Crew!
I have new goals this year that continue the focus on loosing more weight since I still want to loose another 40 to 50 lbs. But, I have also set the goal of finding more balance in my life. I’m focused on building my Stampin’ Up! business by offering more classes along with building my team but I’m also learning to balance that with family life along with regular exercise to maintain my new weight.
Well, now that I’ve shared that with you, I have a Happy Birthday card for the Can You Case It? color challenge featuring A Nice Cuppa Stamp Set. I really do love A Nice Cuppa Stamp Set but haven’t honestly used it very much. I think this is only the second time that I’ve used this stamp set. The color challenge features Turquoise and Yellow with White. As a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, I pulled out two of my favorite colors… Tempting Turquoise and Daffodil Delight.
To build the card from the bottom up, I used Tempting Turquoise Cardstock for the card base with a Whisper White layer. On the front layer, I stamped both Tempting Turquoise and Daffodil Delight with images from the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set. From A Nice Cuppa Stamp Set, I used the Tea Cup that coordinates with the Cups & Kettle Framelits Dies. The Tea Cup is stamped with the Daffodil Delight then I used the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. Confession time… I rarely drink any “hot” drinks preferring Iced Drinks but I do enjoy a hot cup of Earl Grey Tea with some cream and sugar so on this card I needed some steam coming up from the cup so I used the framelits to die cut the Heart Shaped steam that rises from the Tea Cup. I added the Happy Birthday Banner stamped with Tempting Turquoise featuring the And Many More Stamp Set to the front of the Tea Cup and finished off the card with Daffodil Delight Candy Dots.

Such a super pretty card! Love the ink splatters in the background and the enamel dots are the perfect accent!
