Have you ever tried creating something without reading the instructions?  Or, better yet, have a husband that doesn't read the instructions or is an Engineer? As I was making my bag with the new punch board, I thought I knew how to assemble with bag without reading the instructions and it just happens that I made a mistake as my husband – an Engineer – walks into the room.  He then had to give me a hard time about not reading the instructions and commenting that he thought only men or Engineers didn't use instructions.  So, I told him that as a Paper Engineer sometimes we don't always use instructions especially when we think we have the project figured out.   Oops… as soon as I pulled out the instructions the bag came together perfectly.

I adore this cute little bag and the Gift Bag Punch Board is totally awesome! You can make a variety of different sizes from a small to large base with the height of the bag being limited only by your paper size.  My first bag was going to be tall but I quickly discovered that it was better to keep the height a bit more manageable when you are first learning how to make the bag.

This bag features the new Bohemian Designer Series Paper.  The attached elements start with the Black Berry Bliss punched with the 2" Circle Punch then embossed with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder.  Next, I cut a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock to 1 1/2" and stamped the "Shine" image from the Banner Blessings Photopolymer Stamp Set with Bermuda Bay Classic Ink then used the totally awesome Banner Triple Punch.  In the bottom left corner, I added a small flower with a Very Vanilla Candy Dot.  Finally, I added the Island Indigo 1/4" Cotton Ribbon to the top where I punched holes using the Gift Bag Punch Board.
