SUO Challenge #109
From My Heart Thank You
I really love the way this card turned out. When I started planning the card I wasn't certain where it was going to go but I really liked the idea of pulling out an "old" stamp set when the From My Heart Stamp Set caught my eye. The Crushed Curry image located under the "Thank You" is a stamped leaf and plant image from the For All Things Stamp Set. The card base is Crushed Curry layered with Basic Black then Motley Monsters Designer Series Paper. The larger banner is cut using the Banner Framelits from Elegant Eggplant card stock with a second Basic Black banner. The images are offset towards the left side of the card. The primary stamped image is cut out using the Window Frames Framelits.
SunnyGirlScraps Stampin' Tips:
- To create the flower, I used the 1 1/4" Scallop Circle Punch to punch out 4 scalloped circles which I then crumpled in my hand and layered to create the flower.
- Add a button or brad to the center of your flowers for additional attention to detail or to create interesting accents.
- Layer embellishments! On this card, I layerd the Tea Lace Paper Doilies behind the Elegant Eggplant banner so it peeks out.
- Distressing is another great way to add character! The Elegant Eggplant banner is destressed using a distressing tool.
The colors are really lots of fun and bold. So, I hope you enjoy and PIN my card. (And I admit, this card keeps growing on me…) Don't forget to visit the SUO! Challenges Blog to check out the creations from the other Design Team members!
