Star of Light Silver Christmas Card
Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch #211
Next to the Cookie Cutter Christmas Stamp Set, the Star of Light Stamp Set is my other favorite. I love the vintage style of the stars along with the delicate designs and awesome sentiments. The Star of Light Stamp Set comes with everything you need to create your Christmas Cards including a bundle option for the Big Shot.
Night of Navy and the Silver are really key to the success of this card. I absolutely love Christmas Cards that are blue. Add silver accents with blue and… POW, a totally striking and elegant Star of Light Silver Christmas Card.
There is a “swoosh” stamp in the Star of Light stamp set that I just love. When I look at this stamp I keep thinking of snow swirling around. Thankfully, this is just a stamp so I don’t have to experience the cold that normally goes along with swirling snow! I have many college memories of cold, swirling snow while crossing the Concordia College, Moorhead MN campus… It was FREEZING!
I stamped the “swoosh” twice on the background with versamark then heat embossed with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder. The silver embossing is stunning. Three Rhinestone Jewels compliments the swirls. The Joy is from the Wonderful Wreath Framelits and die cut using Night of Navy cardstock.
Tips and Tricks with Sunny Girl Scraps:
- Embossing Buddy! I love the look of heat embossing especially with the Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I hate when the powder sticks to where it isn’t supposed to stick. Did you know there is a great tool to use before you stamp and emboss your image? The Embossing Buddy is a must have tool! All you do is rub the Embossing Buddy across your paper before stamping and applying the embossing powder. The Embossing Buddy helps prevent unwanted sticking.
- Big Shot! The Big Shot is one of my favorite tools! While you can definitely purchase the Big Shot elsewhere, there are some wonderful benefits when you purchase your Big Shot from me or another Stampin’ Up! demonstrator. Stampin’ Up! offers a 3 year Warranty (and I know for a fact that Stampin’ Up! has replaced Big Shots even past the warranty). You also get an expert that can teach you how to use your Big Shot! Anytime someone purchases a Big Shot from me, I work with them to make certain they know how to use it and for long distance customers I will Skype or FaceTime with you to answer your questions as well as walk you through the machine. Next, it works during a power outage!
- Bundles! Bundles are a great way to save money when purchasing your Stampin’ Up! products. Items that are bundled include a 10% discount! I LOVE saving money especially when purchasing quality, high end products that are made to last from a company that stands behind their products. The Star of Light bundle includes the Star of Light Stamp Set and Starlight Thinlits.
