Convention 2012

I Am A First-Time Recruiter with Jill Leigh, Jocelyn Rhodes and Colleen Vassos

Well, actually, I'm not a first-time recruiter but sometimes I feel like I am!  I don't have a large downline and don't feel very accomplished when it comes to recruiting others to join Stampin' Up!  While attending Convention 2012 and the "I Am A First-Time Recruiter" I learned how to deal with some of my fears.

My first downline came to me out of the blue and I was totally shocked that someone was interested in signing up under me – I know… Surprise! Surprise!  Then, the next downline, I had shared the opportunity at a class and she later decided to sign up under me.  My third recruit, again, came out of the blue.  Although I love the "Accidental Recruit" in truth I need to build my downline by purposely sharing the Stampin' Up! opportunity.

I've set a goal for myself to start talking to people about the opportunity because it is an AWESOME opportunity that CAN be made into a very successful business when you have the desire.  Attending the Stampin' Up! Convention 2012 taught me that you DO NOT have to be "crafty" or extremely talented at making cards, scrapbooking or crafts.  All you really need to know is how to "case" a project, maybe change it a little then share it with others.  Stampin' Up! has wonderful resources that make it EASY for you to succeed!

Both Jocelyn Rhodes and Colleen Vassos were wonderful as they shared their experiences in the I Am a First-Time Recruiter class at the Stampin' Up! Convention 2012!  So, what does it take to recruit?  Maybe a little bit of boldness, excitement and just being yourself!  Be true to WHO you are while "Sharing What You Love!"
