Pretty Pines Inspirational Challenge Christmas Card
Paper Craft Crew Challenge #273
Christmas is my favorite Holiday but this year I’ve been struggling. I’ve been struggling with “busyness.” Unfortunately, the busyness has put a damper on my love for the season. There have been lots of little things that have needed to be done that disrupt my days making for busy but not always productive days.
How do you feel about the busyness of the season? What do you do to help get into the spirit of Christmas?
Today, I set aside the “busyness” of the season to sit down and watch the Santa Buddies Movie with my son (and I bawled!). Then, we went over to a friends house. Since she wasn’t feeling well, I stopped and brought lunch. It was so relaxing and I loved seeing Caleb playing with her two youngest. We had so much fun that we are planning to do it again.
Pretty Pines Inspirational Challenge Christmas Card
One aspect of the season that I haven’t been struggling with is creating handmade cards! I’ve been having so much fun making Christmas Cards. My favorite Stampin’ Up! product has been the Pretty Pines Thinlits as I’ve used them on lots of Christmas Cards this year. The Pine Cones from the Pretty Pines have just spoken to me this year.
The inspirational challenge inspired me to use the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack as the base layer for this card. I’ve been inspired by the florals along with the pops of red, green and white on the Inspirational Challenge Photo. I love the clean design.
Inspiration can strike in many ways and I can’t wait to see how you are inspired! Did I mention that this TWO WEEK Challenge also includes the chance to win Blog Candy from the Paper Craft Crew?

Card Details
Yes, Thick Whisper White is my go-to card base!
- I use Cherry Cobbler Cardstock as the base layered with the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack.
- As the key focus for the card, I’ve used the Perfect Pines Thinlits to die cut the Evergreen Boughs and Pine Cones. I die cut the boughs from Garden Green Card Stock. I’ve used Crumb Cake and Soft Sued for the Pine Cones.
- The Whisper White leaves are die cut using the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits Dies.
- Behind the Pine Cones, I’ve added Gold Metallic Thread and Gold Mini Sequins.
- I’ve added Linen Thread tied in a bow at the base of the pine cones.
- The Sentiment is stamped with Cherry Cobbler using the Musical Season Stamp Set.
- As the finishing touch, I added Cherry Cobbler Enamel Shapes.
