Today, I bring you the 13th installment of the Stampin' Queen's Sketch Challenge featuring the "I Dig You" stamp set.  We were invited to a birthday party for a young man turning 4 so I needed a cute card.  This is the result!  It is an adorable card with a wonderful wish for our friend and Birthday Boy, Luke…

Happy Dirtday Birthday Boy

Stampin' Up! I Dig You Stamp SetUnfortunately, we were not able to make it to the birthday party for, Luke, the Birthday Boy as our son woke up with a nasty cold and fever Saturday morning and by mid-morning both my husband and I were also not feeling all that well.  We were disappointed that we missed the party.  My husband was especially bummed out when he found out that lunch featured Beef Brisket (well, I was bummed as well because Beef Brisket is one of my FAVORITES!!!).

Sooo… you've probably figured out by now that I LOVE the "I Dig You" stamp set!  It is such a fun stamp set and great for creating Boy Themed birthday cards.  You can't go wrong with construction equipment and dirt along with great primary colors to create the perfect birthday wish or should I say "dirtday" wish.  The card base is Tempting Turquoise with Whisper White dry embossed using the Houndstooth Embossing Folder.  The pops of color include Pumpkin Pie, Pacific Point, and Daffodil Delight.  The dirt mover was colored using the Stampin' Write Markers applied directly to the stamp then "huffed" on to moisten the ink for stamping.

The Stampin' Queen's Sketch Challenge blog also has a great group of women that enjoy being members of the Design Team and sharing their talents!  You can see their submissions for this sketch by visiting the blog.  If you enjoy creating digital designs using My Digital Studio or other digital software, then you'll also enjoy viewing the digital samples that some of our team members have created for this sketch as well as past sketches.

So, come on over to the Stampin' Queen's Sketch Challenge and play along!
