Reason for the Season Christmas Card
Welcome back as I share this weeks card created for the Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch 161. It has been a rough week with the family getting sick with the "Back to School Crud!" Caleb started getting sick then I got it and I think I've been hit the hardest with my sinuses taking the brunt of this crud. Even thought I feel yucky, I did manage to get a card done for this weeks Paper Craft Crew Card Challenge.
The Poinsettia is my favorite Christmas flower and this stamp set is gorgeous. I stamped 
the outline of the flower on Watercolor Paper with Archival Basic Black Stampin' Up! Ink then I stamped the flower and leaf layers but spritzed them with water to create a watercolor effect. I used the Oval Framelits to cut the oval shape. The new Lots of Labels Framelits creates a great Cherry Cobbler background accent to the oval shape. I attached the stamped Poinsettia with the Lots of Labels accent to a Garden Green card front which is dry embossed using the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
I added the sentiment using a stamp from the Happy Scenes Stamp Set then added the Crushed Curry Stars as a nice bright contrast. The finishing accents are the randomly placed Rhinestone Jewels.
