Can You Case It
Color Challenge CYCI#85
Over at Can You Case It? we have a fun color challenge for you although I confess to struggling with the colors. I knew what I wanted but it took some thinking before it came together! The simplicity of this clean and simple card really showcases the colors and just goes to show you can have a beautiful card without a lot of stamping or embellishment.
Here are the colors for the Can You Case It? Color Challenge:
As the base for my card front and the “brown” requirement of the challenge, I started with Tip Top Taupe. I added a Very Vanilla Layer stamped with a leaf using Hello Honey Classic Ink for the “yellow” requirement and used the Stampin’ Up! For All Things Stamp Set. Another feature is the Hello Honey Designer Series Paper Stack used as an accent behind the Very Vanilla cardstock. The Very Vanilla and Hello Honey Designer Series Paper Stack are attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals – have I ever mentioned that many of my friends call me the Dimensional Queen! The sentiment is cut out using Soft Sky (my blue requirement) cardstock and the Greetings Thinlits. A favorite technique of mine is to wrap twine in a circle and attach it to the card front then I added the Thanks over the top of the twine. The final step was to add the sequins as accents.
I hope you enjoy my clean and simple card featuring this weeks colors in the Can You Case It? Color Challenge.
