Card Sketch #158 – Peaceful Pines
As soon as I saw the Peaceful Pines stamp set in the NEW 2015 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog, I just had to preorder this set. I love how it has coordinating framelits. I was even getting into the holiday spirit while making this card. Yesterday and today are very cold here in Northern Minnesota. Today, I'm having a few of the campground ladies over to do some stamping but our stamping space is a covered porch and I made this card yesterday while it was raining and chilly. It also seems my blood has thinned a bit and my MN blood is a little weak so I didn't last very long outside.
So for the card, I started with a card front of Crumb Cake layered with Whisper White which I dry embossed using the NEW Softly Falling Texture Impressions Embossing Folder… You just MUST get this amazing Embossing Folder! Then, I added another layer of Crumb Cake and Whisper White but this time I stamped on the Whisper White with Pool Party Classic Ink to create a feel of sky and snow. This was attached to the card front with a piece of Gold 1/8" Ribbon.
Using the Peaceful Pines stamp set, I stamped the pine tree using Mossy Meadow with the base of the pine tree stamped with Early Espresso then the star with Hello Honey and the presents are stamped using Real Red. It is so awesome to use the coordinating Perfect Pines Framelits Dies to cut out the Peaceful Pines stamped images.
