Card Sketch #131 – You Plus Me Valentine
With Valentine's Day just a few days away, I'm working on a few more Valentine's Day Cards so my husband has plenty of Valentine Day cards to choose from to write a little love note in to his totally awesome wife. This probably one of my favorite Valentine Cards that I've made recently. I love the combination of Blushing Bride with the Basic Gray, Smoky Slate and Basic Black but my favorite feature is the cluster of embellishments featuring the Ampersand on the heart and the resin rose from the Artisan Embellishment Kit.
The card base is the Whisper White layered with Smoky Slate card stock then the top layer is Whisper White featuring hearts that were sponged onto the card front using the Hearts & Stars Decorative Mask. I then used the Rose Red Lace from the Artisan Embellishment Kit. The image from the You Plus Me Stamp Set is stamped using Basic Grey Classic Ink. Following along with the sketch, I placed the Heart with the Ampersand in the upper left corner and added the arrow. Having fallen in love with the Artisan Embellishment Kit, I added a few additional embellishments from the Blushing Bride Resin Rose and the silver button tied with the Basic Grey Baker's Twine.
Yep… This is definitely a favorite card if not my ABSOLUTE favorite! Now, if my husband would just read this blog post.
