RemARKable Stampers Blog Tour
I’m so excited to be sharing some fun Sale-A-Bration projects with you this month. I have totally fallen in love with the Lotus Blossom Stamp Set which is only available during Sale-A-Bration which ends on March 31, 2015… Can we say FREE PRODUCT? I’m also featuring the Simply Wonderful Stamp Set with one of my favorite card layouts.
Project #1 – Clean & Simple Lotus Card
Ok, as I mentioned, I’ve totally fallen in love with the Lotus Blossom Stamp Set from the 2015 Sale-A-Bration catalog. I love the layering and depth of the stamped flower image. The card base is Whisper White cardstock then I took Sweet Dreams Designer Series Paper and layered them at an angle onto the card base. Next, I stamped two Lotus Flowers using teh Strawberry Slush Classic Ink – I LOVE how Stampin’ Up! has numbered the photopolymer stamps so it is easy to know which stamp to use first then for creating your layers. It’s so easy:
- Stamp #1 – The darkest image. Either use a darker complimentary ink or just use your choosen color without stamping off any ink from the stamp image.
- Stamp #2 – Medium image shade… Ink your stamp up then stamp off on a scrap piece of paper and stamp your image over the 1st stamped image.
- Stamp #3 – Lightest image shade… Ink up your stamp and stamp off TWO times on a scrap piece of paper… There really isn’t much ink left on the stamp but this gives you the lightest color shade and just completes the whole image!
To finish off the card, I stamped the sentiment using the Strawberry Slush then added a Vintage Faceted Designer Button tied with a piece of Basic Grey Baker’s Twine. Simple and easy to assemble.
Project #2 – Simply Wonderful Card
For my second card, I used one of my favorite card layouts utilizing the Decorative Label Punch to highlight the sentiment which is from the Simply Wonderful Stamp Set found in the 2015 Sale-A-Bration brochure. The sentiment is stamped with Wild Wasabi on Whisper White then punched out with the Decorative Label Punch and layered with Blushing Bride Cardstock… Pink and Green bring back fond memories for me! As I was looking at this card, I was brought back to my childhood bedroom which was Pink & Green. Hmmm… Actually, I think the Wild Wasabi is a perfect match to the green that was in my bedroom and maybe that is why I love these two colors together so much.
O.K. – Back to the card! On the background of the card front, I stamped with both Blushing Bride and Wild Wasabi using the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set. Next, I used the Petite Petals and Flower Shop Stamp Sets for the flowers which were punched out and added to the card front. The larger flower features a Basic Metal Button tied again with the Basic Grey Baker’s Twine. The smaller flowers feature Smoky Slate Candy Dots.
Project #3 – Lotus Blossom Thank You Card
This is my final card and I just LOVE this card! The layout is actually a throw back to a sketch done by the Paper Craft Crew several months back. This card utilizes the Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper which is AMAZING! The Lotus Blossom is stamped using the Rose Red and the Thank You is stamped with Smoky Slate. I used the Wild Wasabi Seam Binding Ribbon to separate the Designer Series Paper from the Whisper White card front. In the top right corner, I used the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp set then layered a strip of Rose Red card stock.
The card front layered with Wild Wasabi was attached to the Whisper White card base. I then added the final embellishments. In the upper right hand corner, I added a small scallop circled image stamped with the Smoky Slate which is from the A Round Array stamp set. The small butterfly from the Butterfly Basics Stamp Set is stamped in Rose Red and finishes that small cluster. Finally, I added the bow with an Antique Brad. I love this card!
I invite you to pin any of my creations to Pinterest and to share your thoughts or questions by leaving me a comment. I love hearing from all my readers!
