Beautiful Bunch Stamp Set
Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch 127
I love this weeks card sketch for the Paper Craft Crew although I admit that I originally struggled to get this card to come together and it wasn't until I was working on my Craft Club card project that inspiration hit me! I just LOVE the Blendabilities and this months Craft Club I was focusing on teach my club members how to use the Blendabilities. One of the easiest flowers to start with is a flower found in the Beautiful Bunch Stamp Set. It is a smaller flower with lots of open space. Each club member colored two flowers – the first one was to learn and the second flower was for their card project. The members did an awesome job.
So… back to my card for this weeks Card Sketch. I've had the Dictionary Background Stamp since the new catalog came out but had pretty much forgotten about it when I was finally inspired to pull it out. It creates a great background and really helped set ambiance for this card! I stamped the Dictionary Background with Crumb Cake Classic Ink then pulled out another old favorite stamp set – Flowering Flourishes! Its been a while since I used Flowering Flourishes but I just really felt this stamp set would be a nice background compliment to my Beautiful Bunch flower.
The Flowering Flourishes background is stamped using VersaMark then stamped in Pear Pizzazz and heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. This is a fun technique that adds a nice feel and a technique I don't use often enough! At this point, it was time to assemble the card…
I layered the stamped whisper white background on Calypso Coral Card Stock then I attached the banner which is made from the Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper. The Beautiful Bunch Flower is colored using the Calypso Coral Blendabilities then I wrapped Linen Thread behind the flower and attached a button to the front of the flower. I placed the flower on the card front slightly off-center. Of course, I then realised I was missing the sentiment! What to do!?!? OK… I turned to my wall of stamp sets and decided the Banner Banter Stamp Set was perfect since I also needed two little banners to coordinate with the sketch. The pearls were the perfect ending to finish off this card.
