One of the New Year Resolutions that I set for myself and my Stampin' Up! business was to actively participate in more Challenge Blogs as well as post more often to my blog.  This is the first of hopefully many more Challenge Posts to come.  I've been following the "Can You Case It" Challenge Blog for a couple of weeks now and today the theme was perfect.  Early this morning I was preparing for our afternoon Team Meeting and needed a card for a Shoebox swap.  It just happenst that the card I created for the Shoebox Swap fits with this weeks CYCI #53 challenge perfectly.  So, come checkout my card!

Can You Case It #53

The Challenge from Can You Case It #53 is to create a Clean and Quick card with at least 2 layers as well as one embellishment.  Believe me, I whipped this card together easily within 10 minutes as I didn't have much time to spend with my 5 Year Old hanging out with me while Daddy was at church.  Caleb has been sick and we ended up sleeping in this morning and not going to church.  I needed something for the Shoebox Swap but hadn't planned anything and when I saw the Challenge in my email, I knew I had a plan.

I created the background ambiance by using the Kinda Eclectic Stamp Set with the Sun stamped with So Saffron Classic Ink then the Dot image is stamped using Crumb Cake Classic Ink on Whisper White which I then attached to Cherry Cobbler.  Next, the embellishment is Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon that I gathered.  The finishing touch was stamping the You + Me image, punching it out with the 1 3/4" Circle Stamp and layering it on Crumb Cake punched out with the 2" Circle Punch.  It really is that Clean and Quick!
