So, check out the May 2017 One Stamp At A Time Clean and Simple blog hop.  Remember, on the 2nd Thursday of each month starting at 6:30 AM EST, we feature a new theme.  I hope you are inspired.

Tranquil Tulips 2017 Hostess Stamp Set

Clean and Simple

I am featuring a new 2017 Stamping’ Up! hostess stamp set for this month OSAT Clean and Simple blog hop. When I saw the Tranquil Tulips stamp set I just knew I had to own it.  Besides Peonies, Tulips are one of my favorite flowers. Tulips are so beautiful and colorful. They are just so cheerful!

Project #1 – Tranquil Tulips Clean and Simple Card

The idea for this card popped into my head a couple of days ago.  A white-on-white angled layer creates interest with clean lines. Stamping a simple, single image sets the stage for a beautiful card. All the elements on the card are kept simple with a minimalist point of view.

As I planned the card, the goal was to keep the card clean, fresh and minimalistic.  The card base is Whisper White layered with a Whisper White base layer.  I played around with a few different angles until I had the angle I wanted.  On the angled piece of Whisper White, I stamped the tulip stems using Lemon-Lime Twist then added the tulip using Flirty Flamingo and finished it off with Basic Gray for the center of the tulips.

A banner with the sentiment was the perfect final layer. I opted to use the Eastern Beauty Stamp Set for the sentiment to continue the minimalist theme.  The single word “hello” is perfect for a clean and simple card.  It is stamped again with the Flirty Flamingo on a thin strip of Whisper White then I created the banner with the Banner Triple Punch. The Glitter Enamel Dots are the finishing touch perfect for a little bit of glam and glitz.  I’m in love with the Glitter Enamel Dots with the ombre style.

Project #2 – Tranquil Tulips Gift Bag

Clean and Simple card featuring the 2017 Stampin' Up! Tranquil Tulips Hostess Stamp Set. Gift Bay created by Pam Staples. #tranquiltulips #cas #handmade #sunnygirlscraps

The second project again uses the Tranquil Tulips along with the Eastern Beauty Stamp Set and Gift Bag Punch Board. Whisper White is my canvas for this creation. I love the clean look with the contrast of the Basic Black Baker’s Twine.

So, I created the bag using Whisper White which sets the tone for a clean and simple project. The front panel is also Whisper White. On the front panel, I stamped the stems from the Tranquil Tulips Stamp Set using Lemon-Lime Twist then added the tulips which are stamped with Flirty Flamingo.  Black Baker’s Twine is wrapped around the front panel four times, knotted, and tied in a nice little bow. The sentiment is stamped on Whisper White using Basic Grey Archival Ink and punched out with the 1″ Circle Punch. Again, I finished the gift bag by adding three Glitter Enamel Dots. To reinforce the clean and simple design I used the lighter colored Glitter Enamel Dots.
