Hello and welcome to the Very Vintage – One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop. This month is all about going vintage! I don’t do very vintage projects that often anymore but they can definitely be a lot of fun. A Very Vintage Theme was lots of fun and I may have gone a little over the top with the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set and coordinating Bouquet Bunch Framelits.
So, check out the July 2017 One Stamp At A Time – Very Vintage blog hop. Remember, on the 2nd Thursday of each month starting at 6:30 AM EST, we feature a new theme. I hope you are inspired.
Very Vintage
Beautiful Bouquet
Welcome back to another OSAT Blog Hop as we feature a Very Vintage Theme. I decided to use the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set for both of my projects this month along with using various shades of blue. Copper is my very vintage anchor for this months blog hop.
So… confession, I’m exhausted! My son is totally wearing me out so this is going to be short and sweet! As much as I would love to provide more detail, it is almost 3 am as I type this post and later today we are going to the zoo. This girl isn’t getting any younger and needs to get some sleep! SO, here goes…
Each project features some distressing then heat embossing with Copper to add a truly vintage feel to the card and gift box that I created. The beautiful bouquet stamped for each project features Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, and Island Indigo with a touch of Dapper Denim against a Tranquil Tide background.
Project #1 – Very Vintage Beautiful Bouquet Card
The Very Vintage Beautiful Bouquet Card features a Thick Whisper White Card base layered with a Tranquil Tide card front that is embossed using the NEW Layered Leaves 3D Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Before I ran the card front through the Big Shot, I actually got the paper wet then crumpled it for a distressed appearance. Then I dry embossed with the Layered Leaves followed up by lightly taking my versamark ink around the edges and over the top of the layered leaves to then heat emboss with the Copper Embossing Powder. I also did a similar technique with the Lots of Labels background piece but without the dry embossing step.
Next, I stamped a TON of Beautiful Bouquet flowers! I just kept stamping! Then I used the Bouquet Bunch Framelits to die cut the stamped flowers. Yes, I had an awesome stack of flowers to choose from for the card. Once I had the flowers stamped and die cut, I started to layering them on the card front until I was happy with the beautiful bouquet.
I added the sentiment which is stamped with Pool Party and die cut using the Stitched Shapes Framelits. The bouquet is finished off with the addition of Basic Pearls. I also tied a piece of Pool Party Baker’s Twine around the stems.
Project #2 – Very Vintage Gift Box
The Gift Box is a basic design and in this case, I’ve used an 8-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ sheet of Tranquil Tide Card Stock and Fresh Florals designer Series Paper Stack. I then scored at 1-1/2″ along each edge and assembled the box using Tear & Tape Adhesive. Around the box, I tied a piece of the Tranquil Tide 1/2″ Finely Woven Ribbon to keep the box together. On the bow, I added a small “For You” tag which is die cut using the Bouquet Bunch Framelits.
Again, I used the same technique with the Lots of Labels background piece by getting the Whisper White damp, crumpling the paper then lightly dragging the Versamark ink over the ridges of the crumpled paper. Next, I heat embossed with Copper Embossing Powder. I’m totally in love with this look especially for a very vintage feel.
The bouquet is assembled the same way by using flowers that I stamped and cut from the Beautiful Bouquet Bundle. In the closeup, you can see the cute little tag along with the beautiful ribbon and the embossing done on the Lots of Labels background.

Sunny Stampin’ & Scrappin’!

Thanks for the tip on crumbling the paper before embossing – I need to try that! The copper detail is beautiful!
Love the fun colors. Hope you get some rest soon so you can keep your creative juices flowing!
Lovely projects and great color choices!
Oh me, Oh my! My jaw literally dropped. Love your copper embossing, love your colour palette, love your projects! So beautiful! I hope you had a fun day at the zoo xx
Hi, Pam! Your gift package is really great (card is great too!) It reminds me of department store gift packaging from my childhood memories. Great job!
