Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop

North Carolina Stampin' Up! Demos Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop submission by Pam Staples featuring Going Global #floweringfields #imbringingbirthdaysback #saleabration #bloghopI am so excited that you have joined us on the North Carolina Stampin’ Up! Demos Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop!  Sale-A-Bration is an amazing time of year with so many amazing FREE products and one of my favorite Stamp Sets has turned out to be the Flowering Fields Stamp Set.  Confession… When I first saw this stamp set I was SO unexcited about this set with no intentions of selecting it as one of my FREE Stamp Sets but then I had the opportunity to play with it at the North Carolina Quarterly meeting in early January and boy… did I fall HARD for the unforeseen BEAUTY of the Flowering Fields Stamp Set.  I’ve come to love this stamp set.

North Carolina Stampin' Up! Demos Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop submission by Pam Staples featuring Going Global #floweringfields #imbringingbirthdaysback #saleabration #bloghopThis stamp set is so easy to use!  I’m creating elegant, beautiful and simple cards quickly.  On this card I stamped the Flowering Field images with Basic Black Archival Ink on Whisper White Card Stock then colored each flower using a blender pen.  The colors I used on the flowers are Hello Honey, Calypso Coral and Pear Pizzazz then I used Lost Lagoon on the butterfly.  Before I forget, the card base is Lost Lagoon with a layer of Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper which perfectly compliments the Flowering Fields Stamp Set.  The card front with the colored images is also attached to Lost Lagoon card stock.  The finishing touch was the addition of the Happy Birthday banner.

Demos Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop!  For this card, I’m using the Sky is the Limit Stamp Set.  I’ve mentioned in a previous post about how I took a Mixed Media class at the NC Demo Quarterly taught by Melissa.  This card features the Sunburst Die using the Golden Gel Medium.  I love the shine from the Gel Medium and how it looks like the Biplane is flying in the sky through the rays of the sun!  The card base is Thick Whisper White with a Tempting Turquoise card front layered with the mixed media layer.  I then created a Daffodil Delight banner layered with a whisper white layer.  The biplane is stamped with the Basic Black Archival Ink and hand cut.  I stamped the Happy Birthday on Smoky Slate  card stock.  The finishing touch is a Neutral Designer Button tied with Basic Black Baker’s Twine.
