Yes, I may get Carried Away with overflowing excitement after presenting at the OnStage Atlanta event this past weekend!  OMG… what an AMAZING experience!  This was my first time presenting and I’m ready to present again.  I managed to channel both Shelli Gardner and Sara Douglass as I cried while sharing about my cancer history while trying to adopt.

As a presenter, I was asked to create up to 15 projects related to my presentation and the products I was sharing.  My presentation was related to the coordination of Sale-A-Bration and Occasions Catalog products.  For today’s Stampin’ Up! Only Challenges, I’m sharing one of the many projects I made.  The new theme for SUO! Challenges is Celebrations. When I received my package of GOODIES for my OnStage Presentation, I couldn’t have been more excited!  I LOVE it all!  There were lots of goodies but today I’m focusing on the Lift Me Up Stamp Set, Up & Away Thinlits and the coordinating Carried Away Designer Series Paper from the Sale-A-Bration brochure.

CONFESSION TIME… I’m excited to be blogging about something other than the Holidays today but later this week I’ll be back with some Holiday Goodies! Oh, and I’m still “emotionally HIGH” from my presentation!

The box I’m sharing for “celebrations” is a congratulations box which would be great for just about any celebration such as a Graduation, Promotion or Special Occasions where you want to congratulate someone.  This box is made using the Gift Box Punch Board which is a GREAT tool for making quick boxes.

I’ve used a neutral pattern from the Sale-A-Bration Carried Away Designer Series Paper pack for the box as well as for the belly band.  The front of the box features clouds cut using the Up & Away Thinlits and Lift Me Up Stamp Set.  Then, the main focal piece is the large 3D Hot Air Balloon that I created by piecing together 4 of intricate Hot Air Balloons also cut using the Up & Away Thinlits.  Now, I wasn’t certain at first how to attache the 3D Hot Air Balloon to the box but as I thought about it, I pieced together two circles folded in half to create a base with the balloon glued to the folded portion.  This method worked really well for attaching the balloon.
