Scary Fun

I'm so excited to be sharing some fun projects.  I had to get creative with this challenge because the one stamp set I REALLY wanted to use STILL has not arrived at my home and is stuck somewhere between North Carolina and Utah through the Mail Innovations.  OK, so with the knowledge that the one stamp set was NOT going to arrive before this post I decided to focus on the Halloween Themed Motley Monsters Designer Series Paper for the handmade card I created and the cute box features the one stamp set I have received called Merry Everything that just happens to have one Halloween themed stamp.  Well, I hope you enjoy the projects I have for you this month and on that note…  Here we go!

Project #1 – Good To the Last Bite Box

The Box is created using the Gift Box Punch Board and is 3.25" x 3.25" x 1.75" so it is a decent sized box!  Then I created a belly band using the Back to Black Designer Series Paper.  The tag features the Merry Everything Stamp Set and is punched our using the Note Tag Punch which coordinates with the stamp set.  To attach the tag, I used Linen Thread wrapped around the belly band a few times then tied a bow and added the Basic Black Chevron Ribbon for additional contrast.  This really is a fun, quick and easy project.

Project #1 Supply List:

Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black (132708)

Cardstock:  Whisper White (100730), Tangerine Tango (111349)

Designer Series Paper:  Back to Black (133700)

Accessories:  Linen Thread (104199); 3/4" Basic Black Chevron Ribbon (130010)

Tools: Gift Box Punch Board (135863); Note Tag Punch (135860); 1/16" Circle Handheld Punch (134363)

Stamp Sets:  Merry Everything (w: 135068; c: 135071)

Project #2 – Boo Ghoulish Greetings

This is such a fun card and a great way to feature Designer Series Paper especially when you don't have the Stamp Set you were HOPING and PLANNING to use!  I just have to say… I really do love this adorable card!

For this card, I used the Motley Monsters Designer Series Paper as the focal point then using the Little Letters I cut out the "BOO" then placed a background behind the Motley Monsters for some nice contrast.  To quickly finish off the card, I add the tag which uses the Ghoulish Greetings Stamp Set topped off with a button and Tangerine Tango Baker's Twine.

It's totally amazing how you can create such a cute, Ghoulish card even when you don' have the stamp set you originally wanted!
