On parade with a
Pennant Parade Stamp Set
Party Invitation
I'm having so much fun being a member of the Design Team for the SU! Only Challenges Blog. In honor of the first anniversary of the SU! Only Challenges Blog, the current challenge "SUOC #26" is to create an invitation. Now, I've been itching to using the Pennant Parade stamp set along with the coordinating punch. This challenge just seemed like the perfect opportunity to use these new products from Stampin' Up!
The design I had in my "head" required fun and bright elements to showcase the Pennant Parade stamp set and coordinating punch. I think you are going to love what you see! Also, I felt this was a great opportunity to showcase some of our new Designer Series Paper especially as we are currently offering a great special when you buy 3 packs of Designer Series Paper, receive ONE pack of Designer Series Paper FREE!
The base of this card starts with the Whisper White. The first layer of this card is created using Daffodil Delight card stock which is then layered with Designer Series Paper "Big Top Birthday." I created the Pennant using Real Red and the Petite Pennants Builder punch. I also used the Pennant Parade stamp set to stamp the smaller image of the pennant.
To make the "blueberry" cupcake, I punched the cupcake frosting out of Tempting Turquoise then added little pieces of confetti in Daffodil Delight and Real Red. The cupcake portion is stamped with Tempting Turqouise using the Create A Cupcake stamp set on Whisper White card stock. The cupcake elements were punched out using the Cupcake Builder punch. The Daffodil Delight Scallop circle is punched using the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle punch layered with Real Red punched using the 1 3/4" Circle punch.
The final element was to create the "You're Invited" flag. The sentiment is stamped using the Inviting stamp set and Tempting Turqouise classic ink. To create the "fish tail" on the tag, I used the 1 1/4" square punch.

Pam, this card is killer:) I love the colors, use of designer paper and layout of the banner. Another great cheery card!
Hi Pam!! That is a very cute invitation! I didn't know you were on Design Teams! 🙂 Way to go! Hope you're doing well!!
Thanks Char… I only just became members of both Design Teams after convention. I’m really enjoying them. The Stampin’ Queen’s is a new sketch challenge blog started by my Stamping friend Cristena Bagne.
