Card Sketch #128 – Kind Koala
We have another great card sketch for you this week over at the Paper Craft Crew featuring a great, traditional style sketch with just a few small changes. Since the primary stamped area of the sketch features a "long, narrow rectangle" I pulled out one of the cutest stamps ever and a personal favorite, Kind Koala! This little guy is just adorable… He brings back some awesome memories from my childhood. When I was 16, we visited friends in San Diego, CA and visited the San Diego Zoo which has an awesome Koala Exhibit. I've just loved Koala's ever since that trip and is easily one of my favorite wild animals.
So… for this cute card, I started by stamping the Koala with Memento Tuxedo Black then colored the Koala with the Crumb Cake Blendabilities and the flower with Melon Mambo Blendabilities. The stamped image was then attached to a Daffodil Delight layer of Cardstock. I used the Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper layered on Daffodil Delight and Rose Red. The ribbon accent is Wild Wasabi Seam Binding Ribbon. To finish off the card, I used the Itty Bitty Accents Flower Punch then added a Rhinestone Jewel to the center of each flower. The colors are fun, bright and so cheerful.
