SUO Challenge #97
Something Delicious = A Perfect Blend
I'm currently on vacation in Tucson, Arizona visiting my In-Laws. (You can see the Catalina Mountains in the background of my card!) Since Mary Fish also lives in Tucson, AZ, I try to touch base with her and visit for a little while. I really enjoy visiting with Mary and this time I remembered to bring along as a "Thank You." I'm especially excited about this visit because I get to see her NEW Craft Room which also coincides with my own NEW Craft Room (Yes, I know, I need to post photos of my new craft room! Actually, I'll have a video for you shortly with a tour of my craft room!) AND we will be playing with the Blendabilities sharing some tips while enjoying some tea or coffee together. I just LOVE the Blendabilities and can't wait until they are available to everyone and not just Stampin' Up! Demonstrators.
For SUO Challenge #97 with the theme of "Something Delicious," I decided to use the Perfect Blend Stamp Set along with the Blendabilities. The card base starts with Whisper White Cardstock and added a layer using the Coastal Cabana cardstock with a layer of Whisper White. On the Whisper White top layer, I stamped a background using the Gorgeous Grunge with Crumb Cake classic ink and using Cherry Cobbler classic ink stamped a chevron pattern using a stamp from the NEW Work of Art Stamp Set I received as a gift at the Catalog Reveal Party the end of April. The coffee cup and sentiment are from the Perfect Blend Stamp Set.
The coffee cup is stamped using the Memento Ink then I colored the image using the Coastal Cabana Blendabilities. I did decide to leave portions of the image white. I stamped the "Coffee & Friends" sentiment which I felt was perfect for my visit with Mary Fish and our plans to have coffee together. The sentiment is punched out using the Artisan Label punch with Cherry Cobbler cardstock bordering the edges of the punched image. Then I used the new Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack from the 2014-2015 Stampin' Up! Catalog to create flowers to accent the card. To finish the card, I added the pearls to the flowers.
I absolutely love the way this card turned out and can't wait to give it to Mary. Here is another angle which shows how I used the Dimensionals to create depth and various levels on the card. The colors are another favorite of mine and a reflection of my new craft room!
So, I hope you enjoy and PIN my card. (And I admit, this card keeps growing on me…) Don't forget to visit the SUO! Challenges Blog to check out the creations from the other Design Team members!
