SUO Challenge #134
Thank You Very Much
How often do you remember to say "Thank You" in a tangible way? Handmade cards are a great way to send a very special Thank You to friends and family. Saying Thank You can also be for so many reasons. I love sending a Thank You card just to say "thanks" for being a friend and there when I need you but also for so many other reasons.
For this challenge with SUO Challenges, our theme is to create a Thank You Very Much card which can be a general thanks or even more specific with Thanksgiving. I opted to stick with a general Thank You card with a gender neutral feel and managed to channel my inner fall feelings.
The card base starts with a must have item… Whisper White Thick Cardstock! I used the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to set the tone for the card front. I love the white on white base. The stamp set is For All Things.
I stamped the background watercolor image with Old Olive Ink but stamped off before I stamped the final image as I wanted it to be lighter. As I visualized the card, I knew I wanted lots of white space so placed the stamped images to the left of the card front space leaving lots of extra white space. I then stamped the leaves using Soft Suede. The stamped card front is attached to Old Olive card stock then I added a banner using the Into the Woods Designer Series Paper. The Triple Banner punch is AWESOME and another MUST HAVE item.
Another MUST HAVE item is the Greetings Thinlits! I love these versatile thinlits and use them often. The Thanks is the perfect sentiment to go along with the Thank You theme for the SUO Challenges. I opted to use Tangelo Twist for the sentiment for just a pop of fall color! The finishing touch was to add the Gold Metalic button tied with a Linen Thread bow. This is a great card for anyone.
