Stamp of the Month Blog Tour!
Monstermaniacs
(Item # c: 134972)
This is such a fun stamp set. When the stamp set was first introduced, I was on the fence but I've fallen in love with this stamp set. It is so versatile and especially fun to use on Kid cards! The Monstermaniac Stamp Set is really great for kids of ANY AGE… So, have fun, and enjoy this monster parade!
Project #1 – Monstermaniac "You're Special"
The card base for this Monstermaniac Card starts with Whisper White cardstock layered with Midnight Muse. The Midnight Muse cardstock was embossed using a fun, new embossing folder called Decorative Dots that will be available as a FREE item when you purchase $50.00 or more in Stampin' Up! product during Sale-A-bration which begins on January 28, 2014! The circles are created using the Circles Collection Framelits with smaller circles cut out of the larger circles. For the smaller circles, I used the circle punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes. The finishing touch was to add the Rhinestone Jewels. I love how this card feels like it is "out of this world!"

Project #2 – Monstermaniac CAS
The card base for this fun, Clean & Simple Monstermaniac Card is Midnight Muse cardstock. The top layer is Whisper White Cardstock then I used the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set to stamp a "silver" background using the Encore! Silver Stamp Pad. The little monster is stamped using Midnight Muse Classic Ink on Whisper White Cardstock and punched out with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch layered on a Midnight Muse Scallop Circle punched out with the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch. I added a little bit of the Tea Lace Paper Doily gathered to the back of the punched element then attached the Scallop Circle to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. For a final touch, I added the Rhinestone Jewels – Don't they look a bit like stars? Also, I included a Hung Up Cute Clip on this same card showcased in the video posted below.

Project #3 – Monstermaniac Christmas
So, the next two cards are special… There is a young boy that I follow on Facebook by the name of Anthony and his Facebook page is Anthony's Promise. He has numerous undiagnosed health issues and is just so darn CUTE! One of the known health issues he struggles with is the same health issue that my son, Caleb, also struggles with called Hypotonia. In addition, both Anthony and my son, Caleb, have worn eye glasses since a VERY young age – my little man started wearing Eye Glasses when he was 7 months old! So, Anthony's mom posted that they LOVE receiving Christmas Cards from their followers on Facebook. I created this card specifically for Anthony and the second card below is specifically for his sister, Alexis.
The card base for this cute Monstermaniacs Christmas Card is Whisper White cardstock. The top layer is Cherry Cobbler Cardstock layered using the Season of Style Designer Series Paper Stack. The Monster was stamped using the Encore! Gold Stamp Pad. To cut out the monster and the Cherry Cobbler background, I used another new product. The new product is the Starburst Framelits Dies and will be available on January 3, 2014 from the Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog – Celebrate the Everyday! Next, I created a flag by stamping "Merry Christmas" from the Petite Pairs Stamp Set on Whisper White and layering it with Old Olive Cardstock. The Old Olive button is tied with Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine and attached with Mini Glue Dots. As a final touch, I added to Rhinestones to the eyes on the monster. I hope Little Anthony enjoys his fun, Monstermaniac Christmas Card!
