September 2017 Layered Leaves Paper Pumpkin Kit

The Paper Pumpkin Kits from Stampin’ Up! are perfect for everyone! Everything you need is INCLUDED in the kit. Now, if you are a regular crafter and maybe not a fan of the kit you receive any one month then why not create an alternative project. Sometimes you need just a few extra items.

This month I stayed fairly true to the original kit with only small variations.  There is the card that I made as an A2 card by using the 3×3 notecard. I also created a cute treat bag using only a few products from Stamping ‘Up! All the projects are fairly easy to recreate using the September 2017 Layered Leaves Paper Pumpkin Kit. Now… Check out this month’s cute projects!

Project #1 – A2 Fall Layered Leaves Card

This card was quick to put together. I choose to use Very Vanilla card stock layered on Soft Suede to coordinate with the 3×3 notecard included in the kit which I cut apart for the front of this card. I then layered the leaves from the kit except I did add a paisley from the Paisley Framelits. The card shouts FALL!

The stamped sentiment is from the coordinating stamp set and stamped with the Cajun Craze. I added some of the Baker’s Twine which is included in the September Kit. Other than a few additional supplies, this card is a quick and easy alternative Paper Pumpkin project.

Project #2 – Gusseted Cellophane Treat Bag

I love the small 3×6 Gusseted Cellophane Bags. It is SO easy to make these treat bags with a package of 12×12 Designer Series Paper and your embellishments which in this case are created using the Layered Leaves Paper Pumpkin Kit.

The Designer Series Paper is cut into a strip of 3″ x 10″ and scored at 4″ and 6″ marks to create the base that fits inside the Gusseted Cellophane Bags. To help the bag stand, I do add a few glue dots along the under edge of the gusseted bag. Put the Designer Series Paper inside the bag, fill with your treats of choice then decorate.

You’ll see that I used the leaves from the kit and again added a little Tranquil Tide Paisley Swirl behind the Tag. The tag is also from the kit and stamped with the coordinating sentiment and Cajun Craze.  Simple! Easy! Quick!
