The Wilderness Awaits Masculine Happy Birthday
Fall has arrived in central North Carolina and the weather has been wonderful. This past Thursday we enjoyed a wonderful field trip to Vollmer Farms with our sons Kindergarten class. I actually learned some new facts about cows and chickens! Did you know that a momma Holstein Cow memorizes the spots on her calf and never forgets those spots. Chickens actually bond with chicks when they hatch and those chicks come from eggs that she may not have laid.
My parents also arrived on Thursday and we had a very excited little boy especially when he found out he was going to stay at their camper. That means my husband and I have been childless the last few evenings although I did go to the Melting Pot for Girls Night Out with some girlfriends as we said farewell to one of our friends that will be moving to Spain on November 3rd. We will miss Jennifer but know she is going to love being in Spain.
I don't know why the activities of this past week inspired this card but somehow they did. The sketch from Can You Case It provided a nice, clean inspiration for this card. The card features The Wilderness Awaits Stamp Set and the Remembering Your Birthday Stamp Set. The stately Elk sets the tone for a great masculine happy birthday card along with a monochromatic setting. Tip Top Taupe is perfect on this card with cardstock layered with a sheet of the Go Wild Designer Series Paper Stack.
The embillishments feature the Chevron Natural Ribbon, Gold Metalic Buttons and Linen Thread. I love the neutrality of the card. It is perfect as a masculine card.
Here is this weeks Can You Case It challenge featuring a great sketch. If you are having a mental creative block, challenges are a great way to kickstart your creative juices. Why not visit Can You Case It?, create a card inspired by this weeks Sketch and post to the blog!
