This card comes together featuring the Create with Connie & Mary Color Challenge 342.  When I saw the colors, I was intrigued and almost instantly inspired because I KNEW the Sahara Sand 7/8" Lace Trim would be perfect as a key component of the card I would create with this challenge.  I also knew I would be using the Hardwood Backgound stamp and as I was forming an idea of what I wanted the Serene Silhouettes stamp set seemed to be perfect for this card.  I really love the rustic elegance of this card!

Serene Silhouettes

Create with Connie & Mary Color Challenge 342

Handmade Card created for the Create with Connie and Mary Color Challenge 342 by Pam Staples featuring the Serene Silhouettes Stamp Set. #stampinup #pamstaples #serenesilhouettes #sunnygirlscraps #ccmc

CCMC342-pam001The card front is Basic Black layered with the Whisper White which I've stamped using the Hardwood Background Stamp in Sahara Sand Classic Ink.  Then I stamped the leaves with Basic Black.  Now…  for the Sahara Sand 7/8" Lace Trim rosette, I used the Jumbo Sticky Rounds and just started on the outside of the circle and wrapped the lace trim around the circle until I had the rosette. The flower is Hello Honey cardstock punched out with the 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch, scrunched and layered to create the flower with a Black Candy Dot brad holding it together.  Behind the sentiment is the silhouette of birds from the Serene Silhouettes Stamp Set stamped with Sahara Sand and the sentiment stamped with Hello Honey Classic Ink.  I added the three black candy dots to finish off the card.

Now that I've shared my card with you, here is the color challenge from Create with Connie & Mary.  Checkout their blog to see the design team card submissions and learn more about the challenge.
