Holly Jolly Greetings Holiday Inspiration
If you are located in the United States, I hope you've had a wonderful Thanksgiving and long weekend. I've had a wonderful time visiting family and celebrating my niece's Sweet 16th Birthday. Caleb has had a blast hanging out with his cousins.
It is always fun to get together with family. We've managed to play a couple games of 5 Handed Pinochole. It also helps that I've been the winner each game I've played. Then we've played 2500 and Apples to Apples.
Now that the Thanksgiving Holiday is passed we are starting to focus on Christmas. I love this weeks Challenge Inspiration. As a design team member, I was really inspired by the Gold and Red along with the circular Christmas Ornaments.
My card starts with the Real Red layer embossed with the Large Polka Dot Textured Impressions Embossing Folder then I brushed the edges with Crumb Cake Classic Ink to add a vintage feel. The card also features the Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper as I use the paper with the music and the real red diagonal stripes. The Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper was also brushed along the edges with the Crumb Cake.
So, I've been trying to use some of my Washi Tape and finally braved it after being inspired by another Design Team Member, Tenia Nelson. I love how she is able to use a small amount of Washi Tape and as I was assembling this card I was inspired by her designs to add a little washi tape then the Reindeer Paper Clips.
I made the banner using the Banner Triple Punch. The "Christmas" is stamped with Real Red and the "Merry" is Gold Glimmer Paper cut out using the Christmas Greetings Thinlits Dies. I love that the Christmas Greetings Thinlits is part of the Holly Jolly Greetings Bundle.
This card came together exactly as I pictured and believe it or not was the inspiration for the card I created for the Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch posted earlier this week.
