Cards-A-Latte on the RemARKable Stampers Blog Tour
Occasions Catalog and Cards-A-Latte
I’m so excited to be sharing some fun projects. The cards I’m sharing today are part of tonights Cards-A-Latte event that I hold at Starbucks on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month. I love the Cards-A-Latte since it is a chance for me to get out of the house, enjoy some Starbucks and stamping with friends. The cards I make for the Cards-A-Latte are geared towards new stampers and purposely kept simple yet many of my experienced stampers as love this event as they learn how to use what they have by making quick, clean and simple cards.
Project #1 – Going Global Cards-A-Latte Fun
The card base is Whisper White Thick cardstock with a card front layered with Night of Navy and Whisper White. I stamped the Big Dipper constellation in the background multiple times with Smoky Slate. I created a banner using Designer Series Paper from the Going Places Designer Series Paper Stack using the Triple Banner Punch. The compass is stamped using Night Of Navy Classic Ink, punched out with the 2″ Circle Punch and attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The Lucky Stars sentiment from the Going Global Stamp Set is stamped with Delightful Dijon Classic Ink, punched out with the 1″ Circle Punch and attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals double stacked for extra dimension. Adding stacked layers helps the card “Pop.” Finally, I added Rhinestone Jewels which remind me of stars.
I love the Going Global Stamp Set! It will not be around much longer and if you don’t have it… You NEED to get it along with the coordinating Embossing Folder and Going Places Designer Series Paper Stack. This set is great for masculine cards.
Project #2 – Botanical Gardens Designer Washi Tape Cards-A-Latte Fun!
The second card features the Botanical Gardens Designer Washi Tape along with the Six-Sided Sampler Stamp Set. This card is truly a Clean and Simple card! The Botanical Gardens Washi Tape is attached to the card base at a bit of an angle… We didn’t want it to be perfectly straight! I stamped the floral Hexagon with Hello Honey Classic Ink which coordinates with the Botanical Gardens Washi Tape. The Six-Sided Sampler stamped image is attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I then punched out an Itty Bitty Accents flower which is attached to the hexagon then added an Old Olive Candy Dot. Just below the Botanical Gardens Washi Tape and to the right of the Hexagon I stamped the sentiment!
As I said… This is truly a Clean and Simple card! Absolutely perfect for some Card-A-Latte fun at Starbucks with a group of Stamping friends. We can chat, create our cards and be done in a reasonable amount of time.
I invite you to pin any of my creations to Pinterest and to share your thoughts or questions by leaving me a comment. I love hearing from all my readers!
